INTRODUCTION
San Marino Griffins Lions Club, as the first women's Lion Club in Southern California, endorsed by Los Angeles Arcadia Champion Lion Club.
We are a California-based, nonprofit organization. We are led and braced by a community of Asian-American-oriented elite female leaders consisting of social innovators, high-profile politicians, and successful entrepreneurs to lift the voice of Asian American and evolve the cultural landscape of Asian Americans. We are dedicated to developing high-level branded cultural programs and providing a dynamic range of philanthropic services across education, art events, public charities, and influential speech-focused brand developments such as the TedX San Marino event series to diversify and advance cultural equity and inclusion significantly, bringing positive social changes and impacts to society and inspiring audiences.
OUR EMBLEM
The emblem of Griffins Lion Club comes from Greek Mythology, a legendary creature with a lion's body, tail, and back legs, the head and wings of an eagle, and an eagle's talons as its front feet.
As traditionally defined, the lion rules the land, and the eagle dominates the sky; it symbolizes revealing the most powerful light and fighters' spirit in justice, combatting the darkness and evil forces, leading Lions with righteous legacy torch towards peace and victory.
SHORT TIMELINE
Meaningful and quality programs since 2016
Since its inception, we have developed meaningful, high-quality cultural programs since 2016. In 2020, we acquired the TedX license from TED to produce a series of compelling, high-quality TedX Talk events in San Marino; our TEDxSanMarino event series has become the FIRST-EVER Tedx talk brand developed in San Marino. TEDxSanMarino seeks to capture the spirit of this great city by gathering visionary thinkers and leaders from Southern California and beyond to spark new ideas, insights, and opportunities. TEDxSanMarino aims to engage its audience by featuring talks and events that are unique, bold, and passionate, designed to foster learning and provoke conversations that matter.
